Another rather quiet winter, with a couple of more interesting events. While during the OFITN panel (Dec 11) with Chris Eccleston it was confirmed that 'Lennon Naked' had finished principal filming, on Jan 13 BBC offered the first official image and some glimpses from the film in their winter/spring season's trail. Currently the film is still in active post-production and not completed yet; rumour has it a trail was shown at BBC Showcase in Brighton last week. Release date hasn't been set either, and there is a possibility it will be outside the season the film was promoted for. As things stand today, it could be aired in May at the earliest, but June is more realistic. See the main 'Lennon Naked' post for more info, including new tentative details from the latest article.
Last year's première 'Amelia' has been released on DVD and blu-ray in USA on Feb 2, and in a week's time will be out in UK/Europe too. The lowdown of all extra features in Chiclit's review.
Last but not least, don't forget The Christie appeal in support of new radiotherapy centre at Salford Royal.
Here on the blog a playlist with 42 quotes from films has been added and discussion session Thought Control has been started.
